Scope of Work

The geotechnical investigation project for BHP’s Western Ridge initiative included drilling and piezometer installation. The scope includes HQ3 core drilling for 18 boreholes with Standard Penetration Tests (SPTs) and U-50 tube sampling, as well as the installation of 16 piezometers with detailed construction methods. Pre-drilling for 6 CPT boreholes, setting 20 surface casings, and conducting bulk auger sampling are also part of the project. Environmental considerations include decontamination procedures and PPE requirements for handling contaminated material.
